KGO NEWSTALK 810 am – And Now The Really Bad News
December 2nd, 2011 § 1 Comment
If you live in the Bay Area you have listened to KGO in SanFrancisco. I have been a faithful listener for over 25 years, maybe not as obsessed with it as I once was, but I heard “the Burt Reynolds Interview” live, recall a tragic host suicide, other downfalls, plus more positive things like the yearly Leukemia Cure-a-thons, the return of Karel, Lem Tillem’s St-o-o-ries…
According to The Chronicle/SF Gate it’s over- not completely but pretty close. Ray Taliafero, (I work 2 jobs) John Rothman, Gil Gross, and Gene Burns all are leaving, and there will be a new News format from 2pm to midnight starting on Monday.
Forget KGO NewsTalk 810 it’s now KGO The Bay Areas News and Information Station.
. It is a sad day for talk radio junkies “up and down the west coast” believe me.
I ask you where else can you hear hippies, housewives, maniacs, morons, geniuses and goofballs -and that’s just the people calling in!
Stimulating and entertaining radio is going to be hard to find-but god, we certainly need more news sources in our life, right?
